Toyota recalls over 508,000 Camry Hybrids in the US due to software glitch

Toyota has initiated a large-scale recall in the US covering certain 2025-2026 model Camry Hybrid vehicles. According to a statement from the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), 508,354 vehicles are potentially affected by the recall.

The statement noted that a malfunction may occur on the instrument cluster display when the vehicles are started. It was recorded that this malfunction could disable certain safety and warning functions, such as hazard lights, turn signals, the seat belt warning system, and the smart key reminder.

As part of the recall, authorized Toyota dealers will resolve the issue by updating the display software free of charge.

It was reported that vehicle owners will be notified about the process by mail. It was stated that the recall is limited to specific Camry Hybrid models in the US market.
