Another brand in the electric vehicle sector has filed for bankruptcy. In its statement, the US-based company Fisker reported that it is in talks for another manufacturer to acquire the brand.

US-based electric vehicle manufacturer Fisker has filed for bankruptcy.
In a statement released by the company, it was reported that a bankruptcy filing was made on June 17 in Delaware under Chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy Code. It was stated that discussions are underway with financial stakeholders regarding the sale of assets.
The statement noted that Fisker had made "incredible" progress since its founding, but added, "However, like other companies in the electric vehicle industry, we have faced various market and macroeconomic headwinds that have impacted our ability to operate efficiently."
It was also stated that Fisker's previously announced decision to halt production will continue to be implemented.

It is noted that in the recent period, operational difficulties have been experienced in the competitive electric vehicle market due to weakening demand, challenges in raising capital, and global supply chain issues.
Lordstown Motors, Proterra, Electric Last Mile Solutions, and Arrival are among the other electric vehicle manufacturers that have filed for bankruptcy.
