As the use of electric cars becomes more widespread, demand in the second-hand market is also increasing. It is stated that the most important factor to consider when buying a used electric car is the vehicle's battery health.

Electric vehicles have begun to increase in popularity. With the widespread use of electric cars, a second-hand market has also emerged. There is a noticeable increase in electric vehicle sales in car markets and dealerships. In electric cars, the vehicle's battery stands out as the most important component. Experts point out that the battery life of the vehicle should be checked, especially when buying a used car.

Sector representative Yavuz Çiftçi, who made statements regarding the increase in demand for used electric cars, issued warnings to buyers. Çiftçi said that battery life is the most important criterion to pay attention to when buying a used electric car.

Reminding that demand for electric vehicles has increased in recent years, Çiftçi said, "Rising fuel prices are also adding momentum to this trend. A market has also formed for used electric vehicles. It is also noticeable in car markets. Currently, our used electric car sales are between 5-10 percent compared to other internal combustion engine cars."

Offering advice to electric car buyers, Çiftçi added, "Buyers find them more attractive for city use. With the further expansion of battery charging stations, demand for intercity travel will also increase. The essential criterion for electric cars is the battery condition. Manufacturers state an average battery life of 8-10 years. The most important and costly component of electric cars is the battery. Therefore, when buying a used electric car, the priority should be the life of the batteries. A cost calculation should be made based on the remaining life of the batteries according to their usage status."
