The Ministry of Interior has decided to ban the use of 'white headlights' in traffic, as they negatively affect the vision of oncoming drivers. With the new regulation, white headlights installed after the vehicle leaves the factory will now be a thing of the past.
FINES WILL BE IMPOSED
With the new regulation, white headlights installed other than those from the factory will now be banned, and heavy fines will be imposed on drivers who do not comply. It is expected that the 9,267 TL fine currently applied for the use of excessive exhaust systems will also apply to those using white headlights as of 2025.
THOSE WHO DO NOT CHANGE THEM WILL BE BANNED FROM TRAFFIC
Drivers who do not change their headlights despite the fine will face a ban from traffic. With the increase in inspections, the use of non-factory white headlights will be completely ended.
