The People's Alliance partners, the AKP and MHP, have largely determined their local election strategy.
According to a report by Bülent Aydemir from Habertürk; the parties will enter the elections with MHP candidates in Mersin and Manisa, while AKP candidates will be supported in the remaining 28 metropolitan municipalities.
In 22 of the 51 provinces that do not have metropolitan status, the two parties will participate in the elections separately with their own candidates. Cooperation will take place in the remaining 29 provincial centers.
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli will evaluate the agreed-upon cooperation for the final time.
The AKP will announce its candidates at a major meeting to be held in Ankara on January 15.
CAMPAIGN SLOGAN
The main slogan for the AKP's election campaign will be, "Take Care of the City You Live In", "Take Care of Your City".
Erdoğan, who is planned to hit the campaign trail as of January 1, will visit 50 provinces, including 30 metropolitan cities.
Special campaign programs will also be organized in the major districts of Istanbul and Ankara. Special programs have also been prepared for the earthquake zone.
