It has been alleged that the AKP is preparing for MP transfers following the May 14 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections and the March 31 Local Elections.
Future Party MPs who spoke to 12punto had also confirmed the claims of negotiations.
According to the latest behind-the-scenes information from Nuray Babacan of Gazete Pencere; two dates stand out for these transfers to take place.
TRANSFERS MAY OCCUR ON AKP'S FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY
In her article, Babacan stated, "The ruling party will play the 'transfer' card this time to appear strong and create a sense of moral superiority. It is being said that contacts have increased regarding the joining of the AKP by IYI Party and Future Party MPs and some mayors to divert attention from growing problems and to show that the party has returned to the center of attention, and that these transitions will take place on the AKP's founding anniversary or at the start of the new legislative term of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM)."
Babacan also added in her article; "While it is suggested to the MPs who will join the AKP that they remain independent for a while, they explain that there could be 'partial' participation in the founding anniversary celebrations on August 14, but the main plan is considered for October."
