A new candidate in Istanbul... The owner of the video everyone was curious about has been revealed

As local elections approach, candidates continue to be announced. Istanbul will be the province where the results are most anticipated. So far, the AKP, CHP, IYI Party, and Victory Party (Zafer Partisi) have announced their candidates for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Mayor. According to information obtained by 12punto, an independent candidate is also coming for Istanbul. Taylan Yıldız, who left the IYI Party, took the first step with a video that went viral on social media. A young member of Yıldız's team appeared in the video.

After returning to Turkey to become one of the founders of the IYI Party while working at Google, Taylan Yıldız had not been able to take the steps expected of him in politics. Yıldız, who was an IBB Council member, had resigned from the IYI Party. Yıldız is now carrying out activities at the Association for Tomorrow (Yarın İçin Şimdi Derneği). At the same time, Yıldız is becoming an independent candidate for the IBB.

Yıldız shared his first work on social media by publishing a video with the hashtag #Yarınınıseç. Yıldız did not appear in the video, but the person who took part in the video was İsa Karaoğlanoğlu from Yıldız's team. Karaoğlanoğlu was also on the team that worked with Yıldız during the primary election period held in the IYI Party before the general elections.

YILDIZ TO ANNOUNCE HIS CANDIDACY

Taylan Yıldız is expected to announce his IBB candidacy tomorrow (January 25). In a post he made on his social media account regarding the subject, Yıldız wrote the following:

With only a few days left until the local elections, Turkey's eyes are on the ancient city of Istanbul... I will also share my views on the ongoing democratic race for the Metropolitan Municipality Mayoralty and make some statements that I find important.
