Participating in a television program, Akbaşoğlu said, “Two meetings have been held regarding the minimum wage. In the previous period, the minimum wage was determined twice due to the pandemic. In this process, it will be determined annually. Labor and employer unions have important missions in determining the minimum wage. Here, our ministry acts like an arbitrator. A minimum wage increase of at least 30 percent and at most 55 percent is under consideration. If the minimum wage is increased by 30 percent, it will rise to 14 thousand 822 liras; if it is increased by 35 percent, it will rise to 15 thousand 392 liras. With a 40 percent raise, it will be 15 thousand 962 liras; and with a 45 percent increase, it will be 16 thousand 532 liras. If a 50 percent raise is applied, it will exceed 17 thousand liras.
