Strategic 1.5 billion euro acquisition by Samsung

Samsung Electronics has reached an agreement with the private equity firm Triton to acquire FlaktGroup, a German manufacturer of ventilation, heating, and air conditioning systems, for 1.5 billion euros. The South Korean technology giant stated that this acquisition is a strategic step toward meeting the increasing need for cooling data centers.

The acquisition of FlaktGroup, which operates production facilities in North Rhine-Westphalia, stands out as Samsung's largest investment in the last eight years. The transaction is planned to be completed by the end of the year, and this move demonstrates Samsung's commitment to artificial intelligence projects and its growth targets in this field.
