17-year-old artist Bade Daştan wins admission to the Curtis Institute of Music as top candidate
17-year-old violinist Bade Daştan, a young artist from ÇEV Sanat, has placed first among the three artists who passed the auditions for the Curtis Institute of Music in the United States, one of the world's most prestigious music schools.

The Curtis Institute of Music, which holds auditions in search of exceptional artistic talent and accepts a total of 10 students across various instruments each year, selected 17-year-old violinist Bade Daştan from ÇEV Sanat for its violin department, which accepted only 3 students for the 2024-2025 academic year.
SELECTED BY THE JURY
Bade Daştan achieved success by being selected as the top candidate, becoming the only applicant to receive full marks from all members of the jury during the 3-stage examination, which included Shmuel Ashkenazi, Benjamin Beilman, Pamela Frank Herbert R., Midori, Ida Kavafian, Nina von Maltzahn, and Erin Keefe.
It was stated that while the jury was deliberating among themselves at the end of the exam, Midori's first words were “Definitely Bade.”
'A UNIQUE TALENT'
Following the exam, the jury members and Shmuel Ashkenazi congratulated Bade Daştan, stating, “Bade is not just a great talent; she is something else entirely, a unique talent.”
ÇEV Sanat has been supporting Bade Daştan's education since she was 10 years old as part of its “Young Talents” project.
