6 films to meet cinema lovers this week (January 19, 2024)

6 films will be released in theaters this week.

The week's biographical musical film, "Queen Rock Montreal," directed by Saul Swimmer, brings the legendary British rock band Queen's 1981 Montreal concert to audiences.

The concert features unforgettable hits by the band Queen, consisting of Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon, such as "We Will Rock You," "Somebody To Love," "Under Pressure," "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Another One Bites the Dust," and "We Are The Champions."

ANIMAL KINGDOM

Directed by Thomas Cailley and starring Adele Exarchopoulos, Romain Duris, and Tom Mercier, the science fiction film "Animal Kingdom" brings to the big screen an adventure between a father and his son in a world where some humans have begun to transform into other animal species.

LOHUSA

The week's domestic comedy film "Lohusa," written by and starring Gupse Özay, tells the story of the funny events that happen to a new mother and father during their first 40 days as parents.

Directed by Kıvanç Baruönü, the film features successful actress Gupse Özay alongside Onur Gürçay, Hazal Türesan, Esra Ruşan, Elif Nur Kerkük, Cihan Albayrak, and Alper Baytekin.

In the film, Burcu, who is certain she will not experience postpartum depression, finds herself facing completely different realities and caught in a series of hilarious events after she begins to care for her baby alone following the birth, dealing with sleep deprivation and hormonal changes.

KARDEŞ TAKIMI

Another domestic comedy film of the week, "Kardeş Takımı" (Brotherhood Team), tells the story of siblings who discover that their parents are actually secret agents.

The film, which stars names such as Fırat Albayram, Ceyda Kasabalı, Çağan Efe Ak, Ecrin Su Çoban, Mehmet Aybars Kaya, Gece Işık Demirel, Mert Denizmen, Gülhan Tekin, and Melis İşiten, was directed by Mustafa Kotan.

AFACANLAR KAMPTA

A sequel to "Afacanlar İş Başa Düştü," the film "Afacanlar Kampta" (The Mischievous Ones at Camp) revolves around the events experienced by Emirhan, who goes to work at a children's camp run by his grandfather.

MIGRATION

"Migration," which will attract the interest of children and animation enthusiasts, focuses on the story of a duck family trying to convince their overprotective father to go on the vacation of a lifetime.
