Actor Emre Törün has passed away

Famous actor Emre Törün has passed away at the age of 53 due to pancreatic cancer.

Emre Törün, who had been battling pancreatic cancer for some time and had previously overcome the disease, passed away after the cancer recurred and spread to his liver.

Törün, who most recently portrayed the character "Şeref" in the series Hudutsuz Sevda, had been taken to Akçay at his family's request after his health condition worsened.

Born in Istanbul in 1972, Emre Törün began his acting career in 1996 with the series Kara Melek.

After appearing in this series for four seasons, he went on to perform in many films and television shows. He was particularly known for his role as the intelligence officer Nevzat Çankırılı in the series Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz.

Törün also achieved significant work on the theater stage.

He served as both an actor and director in plays such as İkinci Bahar, Karmakarışık, and Komik Para. In his television career, he appeared in productions including Bir Zamanlar Kıbrıs, Güneşi Beklerken, and Doktorlar.
