Actress Binnur Kaya's new project has been announced

Binnur Kaya has rolled up her sleeves to star in a new feature film. Kaya will play the lead role in the film directed by Serdar Akar. Filming is set to begin in July.

Most recently appearing on screen in the series 'Yalı Çapkını', Binnur Kaya has signed on for a new feature film. According to a report by journalist Birsen Altuntaş, Kaya will star in the film 'Saadet Hanım', produced by Bahadır Atay.

The screenplay for the film, which will be directed by Serdar Akar, was written by Levent Pala.

Polat Bilgin has also joined the cast of the film, for which casting continues. Binnur Kaya will bring the character of retired teacher Saadet Hanım to life.

The team is scheduled to begin filming in July.

WHO IS BINNUR KAYA?

Binnur Kaya was born on April 19, 1972, in Ankara. She is originally from Adana. In 1995, she graduated from the Bilkent University Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, Department of Theatre.

Shortly after, Kaya moved to Istanbul and worked at the Ankara Sahnesi and Karatahta children's theaters, as well as the Bakırköy Municipal Theater. Her first television series was Kaynanalar.

She joined the Beşiktaş Cultural Center (BKM) acting troupe. In the 2007-2008 season, she joined the cast of the comedy series Avrupa Yakası.

In 2010, she won the Best Actress award at the 42nd Turkish Film Critics Association (SİYAD) Awards and the 3rd Yeşilçam Awards for her role in the film "Vavien".

In 2014, she was named Best Comedy Actress at the 41st Magnum Golden Butterfly Awards for her role in the series Aramızda Kalsın.
