Applications for the Yaşar Nabi Nayır Youth Awards are ongoing
Applications for the Yaşar Nabi Nayır Youth Awards, which are presented annually in the fields of poetry and short story in honor of Yaşar Nabi Nayır, the founder of Varlık magazine and its publishing house, will continue until April 1.

Awards are presented annually in the fields of poetry and short story in memory of the poet, writer, and publisher Yaşar Nabi Nayır, who passed away in 1981.
The selection committee for the poetry award this year includes Zeynep Uzunbay, Nilay Özer, Ali Özgür Özkarcı, Seyyidhan Kömürcü, and Mehmet Erte.
The selection committee for the short story award consists of Nursel Duruel, Kerem Işık, Birgül Oğuz, Selçuk Orhan, and Pelin Buzluk.
Conditions for Participation in the 2024 Yaşar Nabi Nayır Youth Awards:
- Those aged 30 and under may participate in the poetry and short story categories. (Candidates must not have turned 31 as of 01.01.2024.)
- Candidates may apply for the award in both categories.
- Poetry and short story manuscripts suitable for book publication must be prepared in an A4 Word document using 12-point Times New Roman font (short story manuscripts with 1.5 line spacing, poetry manuscripts with single line spacing). The book manuscript must be prepared as a single Word document.
- A photograph, biography, and contact information must be included on the first page of the document, below the file name.
- The book manuscript must be sent to yasarnabinayirgenclikodulleri@varlik.com.tr no later than April 1, 2024.
- The results will be announced in the July 2024 issue of Varlık magazine.
- Manuscripts deemed worthy of the award will be published as books by Varlık Yayınları.
