Condolence messages continue to arrive from across Turkey for 48-year-old Ferdi Zeyrek, who was severely injured after suffering an electric shock in an unfortunate accident at his home and lost his three-day battle for life in the hospital.
Figures from the art world, including Mustafa Sandal, Fazıl Say, Kenan Doğulu, İlkay Akkaya, Behzat Uygur, and Mert Fırat, shared their feelings over Zeyrek's passing on social media. Additionally, authors Ahmet Ümit and Buket Uzuner also conveyed their condolences.
Kenan Doğulu stated that they had met Zeyrek recently at a festival in Manisa, saying, "We were together at a concert at a festival in Manisa just recently. I learned with great sadness that our dear friend, Manisa Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek, who won our hearts the moment we first met, has passed away in the hospital where he was being treated following the tragic accident he suffered. I wish him mercy, and offer my condolences and patience to his family, loved ones, the people of Manisa, and all who cared for him."
Mustafa Sandal expressed, "I am very saddened. May God have mercy on Mr. Ferdi Zeyrek, and I wish patience to his loved ones. My condolences to the people of Manisa and our country. May the Almighty grant his children a long life."
Fazıl Say shared his feelings by saying, "I felt deep sorrow at the passing of Ferdi Zeyrek; I had met him in Manisa and liked him very much. May he rest in light. I would like to convey my wishes for patience and condolences to all his loved ones and his family."
