Bulgur Palas in Fatih opens as a community center
Restored by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB), Bulgur Palas has begun serving as a community center.

Speaking at the opening ceremony held in front of the historic building in Fatih, IBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu stated that preserving history is an important indicator of civilization.
Expressing that protecting history in an ancient city like Istanbul also requires acting with great care, İmamoğlu said, "You must act under the guidance of science and expertise."
İmamoğlu explained that Bulgur Palas was used for many years as a warehouse for the Ottoman Bank archives, noting that they purchased the building in 2021 and carried out its restoration.
WALKING AREAS ARE BEING CREATED
Stating that people will be able to walk to the building from Yenikapı, the metro station, and the tram, İmamoğlu added that they are also working on walking areas in the region.
