Cast shake-up in Kızılcık Şerbeti! Won't be in the new season

Show TV’s popular series Kızılcık Şerbeti is in the spotlight due to cast changes ahead of the new season. It has been claimed that Feyza Civelek, who has portrayed the character of Nilay since the first episode, will not be part of the team in the new season.

According to a report by journalist Birsen Altuntaş, the decision regarding Civelek for the new season has been finalized. However, no official statement has been made by the production company or the channel regarding the matter.

Civelek’s name had previously come up in the context of a drug investigation involving celebrities; it was stated that the test results for the blood and hair samples provided by the actress came back positive. Following this development, the actress’s future in the series became a subject of curiosity.

It had also been alleged that Doğukan Güngör, who plays the character of Fatih in the series, had left the cast after his drug test also returned positive. The successive reports of departures have led to comments that there will be significant changes in the series' cast for the new season.

Producer Faruk Turgut, in a previous statement regarding Feyza Civelek’s future, pointed to the uncertainty of the process, saying, “The series is not on air right now. We have about a four-month period ahead of us until September. It is not possible to predict what will happen during this time from today.”

In the same statement, Turgut said, “If Feyza leaves, the series could end. The screenwriter of this series is Ms. Melis. May God not test anyone with their child. I would not be involved in a situation that would put Ms. Melis in a difficult position.” How the new season’s cast will take shape will become clear with official statements.
