The documentary 'Kanun Hükmü' had previously made headlines after being censored from the selection of the 60th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.
Director Nejla Demirci commented on the documentary receiving the award by saying, "Kanun Hükmü has had its say in Italy and returned with an award."
