Competition films for the 20th Akbank Short Film Festival announced

The finalist films for the National and International Short Film Competitions, which are part of the 20th Akbank Short Film Festival taking place between March 25 and April 4, have been announced.

In Turkey, the 20th Akbank Short Film Festival, which serves as an effective platform for short films and will be held both physically and online this year between March 25 and April 4,

received a total of 2,421 short film submissions from Turkey and around the world for its competition categories.

Fifteen films participating in the 'International Competition: Shorts from the World' section, including those making their Turkish premieres, and 15 films selected from the 'National Competition: Festival Shorts' section have qualified to compete for the 'Best Film Award'.

Additionally, 7 films were selected as finalists for the 'Young Perspectives' section, which is aimed at directors under the age of 20.

AWARDS ANNOUNCED

Directors of the 'Best Film' nominated works will be awarded 75,000 TL by Akbank Sanat in the national category and 3,000 USD in the international category. The winning director of the Young Perspectives section will be awarded 30,000 TL.
