Culture and arts agenda of the week: Events taking place in Istanbul between May 6-12

At the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) City Theaters, the plays "Kedi" (Cat), "Şafakta Buluş Benimle" (Meet Me at Dawn), "Hayvanat Bahçesi Öyküsü" (The Zoo Story), "Yarın ya da Yarın" (Tomorrow or Tomorrow), "İkinci Perdenin Başı" (The Beginning of the Second Act), "Diktat" (Dictat), and "Biri, Hiçbiri, Binlercesi" (One, None and a Hundred Thousand) will be presented to the audience between May 9-12.

While the plays "Hayrola Karyola" will be staged tomorrow and "Bella Figura" on May 10-11-12 at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM), the children's play "Çalışkan Karıncalar" (Hardworking Ants) will be performed at Zeytinburnu Culture and Arts on May 12.

At Zorlu PSM, the plays "Kel Diva" (The Bald Soprano) will be performed tomorrow, "Balina" (The Whale) on May 9-10, and "Toz" (Dust) on May 11-12, while at Maximum Uniq Hall, "Saatleri Ayarlama Enstitüsü" (The Time Regulation Institute) can be watched today, "Şakşakçılar" (The Claqueurs) on May 10, and "Kel Diva" on May 13.

CONCERTS

At the AKM, Levent Yüksel's "30th Anniversary Symphonic Concert" and the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet's (İDOB) "Stabat Mater" concert will meet art lovers tomorrow.

On May 10, the "Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra DenizBank Concerts Gala Concert" and on May 11, the "Les Femmes En Pantolon" concerts will be presented to music lovers at the AKM.

The "Three Stars, One Premiere" concert will take place at Zorlu PSM on May 9, while the "Henri Texier Trio" concert on May 10, and the "CRR Turkish Music Ensemble" and "Gabor Tarkövi" concerts on May 11 will meet Istanbulites at the Cemal Reşit Rey (CRR) Concert Hall.

Zeytinburnu Municipality will host the "Nağmedar: Instrumental Hicaz and Nihavend Works" concert at the Merkezefendi Darulkurra on May 11.

ONGOING EXHIBITIONS

The exhibition "Gılaf-ı Reyya: Scent Bottles from the Ottoman Empire to the Present Day," prepared with the contributions of Kuveyt Türk Participation Bank and created from the collection of collector Bekir Kantarcı, can be visited at the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts (TİEM) in Sultanahmet until May 22.

In the "Writer-Drawer Latif Demirci" exhibition at the İş Sanat Kibele Art Gallery, the artist's works and the adventures of his cartoon characters are presented in a chronological and thematic arrangement.

The "Wide Angle" exhibition, prepared by the National Film Institute of Hungary and chronicling 120 years of Hungarian cinema, can be seen at the Hungarian Cultural Center.
