Deep Purple performs in Istanbul: They played the Turkish March and the National Anthem at the concert

The British rock band Deep Purple, considered one of the pioneers of modern hard rock and heavy metal, met with their fans in Istanbul. During the concert, the band performed the Turkish March and the National Anthem.

Deep Purple performed at KüçükÇiftlik Park as part of their "=1 MORE TIME" world tour.

At the concert, the band's founding vocalist Ian Gillan was accompanied by Simon McBride on guitar, Roger Glover on bass guitar, Ian Paice on drums, and Don Airey on keyboards.

Opening the concert with the song "Highway Star," the band also performed their beloved hits such as "A Bit on the Side," "Hard Lovin' Man," "Into the Fire," "Portable Door," "Anya," and "Smoke on the Water."

Addressing the audience, Deep Purple vocalist Gillan said, "It is wonderful to be back in Istanbul. We are receiving great energy from you on stage. We love you very much."

TURKISH MARCH AND NATIONAL ANTHEM PERFORMED

Gillan dedicated the song "Uncommon Man" to Jon Lord, one of the founding members of Deep Purple who passed away in 2012.

Following the song "Anya," Airey began a keyboard solo, receiving great applause from the audience for a solo piece that included Mozart's Turkish March and the National Anthem.

The concert, which lasted approximately 1 and a half hours, concluded with the song "Black Night," which the band recorded in 1970.
