Kanal D’s popular series Uzak Şehir, after achieving high viewership ratings, led the way for an increase in series with similar themes. Productions such as Sevdiğim Sensin, Taşacak Bu Deniz, Gözleri KaraDeniz, and Bereketli Topraklar, which stand out with their stories of land and tribes, also became part of this trend. However, the increasing competition on Monday nights brought an early farewell for many ambitious series of the new season.
Many of the productions that started this season ended their screen adventures one after another due to frequent changes in the broadcast schedule and the ratings war. The series Aynı Yağmur Altında, broadcast on ATV, initially started airing on Mondays, but was moved to Sundays in the following weeks and made a quick finale. The series titled Ben Leman was initially planned for Monday; it was moved to Saturday without entering the competition, but it completed its broadcast life after failing to see the expected interest.
A similar process was experienced for the series Sakıncalı. The production, which was initially planned to be shown on Monday evening, joined those that made a quick finale even though it was later moved to Wednesday. Similarly, preparations for the series Yeraltı and A.B.İ. had been made for Monday evenings, but they were moved to other days due to strong productions.
The only production continuing its path on Monday evenings was Cennetin Çocukları, broadcast on TRT. Especially considering that the series Delikanlı also made a finale decision, it was once again revealed how productions in the Monday slot were affected by high competition.
