Elif Shafak to deliver opening address at Frankfurt Book Fair this year

Elif Shafak will deliver the opening address on October 15 at the Frankfurt Book Fair, which began in 1976 and is considered the largest book fair in the global publishing industry.

Elif Shafak, who has published more than twenty works, including 13 novels, and whose books have been translated into more than 50 languages worldwide, was elected a fellow and vice-president of the Royal Society of Literature in 2019. She was also named one of the '100 most inspiring and influential women' by the BBC in 2019.
