Beloved pop music artist Hande Yener used emotional expressions in the message she posted on social media following Köse's sudden death. In her message, Yener stated, "I wish God's mercy upon Erol Köse and offer my condolences to his dear daughter Dijan, Ajlan, and his family. He contributed greatly to my career, and I will always remember him fondly.
He produced many of my albums for many years; he almost never upset me, and we always found a middle ground somehow. We had minor frictions, but they were nothing significant.
