World-renowned comedian Tom Smothers has died due to cancer.

Tom Smothers’ younger brother and professional partner Dick Smothers confirmed that his older brother died at home from cancer.
In his statement, he said, "Tom was not only the loving older brother everyone would want in their life, but also a one-of-a-kind creative partner. I am forever grateful to have spent a lifetime with him, both on and off stage, for more than 60 years.
Our relationship was like a good marriage; the longer we were together, the more we loved and respected each other. We were truly blessed."
Brothers Tom Smothers and Dick Smothers were expected to return to the stage next year with a special tour.
