Film featuring Süleyman Soylu reaches the finals
The film “Aylan Bebek,” prepared in memory of 3-year-old Alan Kurdi, who became the “conscience” of the refugee crisis, has reached the finals at the Paris International Film Festival.

The images of the lifeless body of baby Alan, who lost his life on September 2, 2015, after the boat he and his family were in capsized while trying to reach Europe illegally from Syria, where the civil war continues, brought the world to tears and moved the refugee issue, which had been met with silence until that day, to the top of the global agenda.
MINISTER SOYLU ALSO ACTED IN THE FILM
The film, prepared in memory of baby Alan to draw attention to the refugee issue, brought together famous names. Former Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu and former CHP Deputy Chairman Bülent Kuşoğlu also took roles in the film, which was directed by Ömer Sarıkaya and produced by Talat Atilla. The film, which also received contributions from the Aydın and Bodrum Municipalities, featured well-known actors such as Wilma Elles, the late Mike Mitchell, Hürriyet Newspaper Ankara Representative and columnist Hande Fırat, as well as Iranian actor Ali Sabri Belaid, Greek actor Hripsime Sargsan, Kadir Süleyman, Aydan Çakır, Dursun Hazerov, Gonca Yeşil, Eymen Kaya, and Mustafa Ayhan. The film, the shooting of which took a long time due to the pandemic, was released after its completion. Director Sarıkaya, who said, “We dedicate this film to all living beings who are victims in the world,” became the subject of numerous reports in major global media outlets with the Aylan Bebek film.
