First EP from musician Oya Oğuz: Eşik
London-based songwriter, composer, and singer Oya Oğuz meets listeners with her debut EP, Eşik.

Eşik stands out as a release that does not rush, waiting for its own time, marking the first moment a musical language shaped over years becomes visible all at once. This work is the natural result of a long internal process, not a sudden decision.
Oya Oğuz’s music is built upon a language of expression that is understated, narrative-driven, and timeless. Rather than making loud claims, the songs prefer to sit beside the listener and engage in a calm but honest conversation. While the melodic consciousness stemming from her Turkish music conservatory education forms the foundation of this narrative, the jazz vocal training she continues in London deepens her approach to interpretation, rhythm, and expression. Oğuz treats this process not as a form of definition, but as a space that expands her own musical language.
THREE TIMELESS SONGS
The three songs featured on Eşik do not tell a single story; they reflect different stops on a journey. A state of introspection, the courage to stand between two states, and a sense of quiet resilience form the emotional axis of the EP. These songs, which possess high narrative power and establish emotional depth through a calm language of expression, aim to build a natural and strong bond with listeners who pay attention to nuanced works in the contemporary Turkish music scene. This approach positions Eşik in a timeless place.
The lyrics and music for all songs on the EP belong to Oya Oğuz. In addition to her solo work, the artist has participated in various projects as a composer and songwriter at different times; she has produced music accompanying visual narratives and worked on various collaborations. These experiences have opened up an important space that nourishes her approach to narrative and atmosphere in songwriting.
AN INDEPENDENT PATH IN LONDON
Continuing her productions from London, Oya Oğuz continues to both develop her own artistic direction and create space for independent productions where music, sound, and visual narrative come together under the umbrella of Panda Production London, which she founded with Onur Özçelik.
Eşik serves as the first step of an independent release and production cycle that will continue throughout 2026.
