The first trailer for 'Trap', the latest film from award-winning director M. Night Shyamalan—known for his horror and thriller stories featuring protagonists caught between this world and the next—has been released.
Written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, often cited as the next-generation heir to Alfred Hitchcock, the film follows a father and his teenage daughter who find themselves at the center of a dark and sinister event while attending a pop concert.
The film stars Josh Hartnett and Ariel Donoghue, with Shyamalan's daughter, R&B singer-songwriter Saleka, portraying the concert's headliner, Lady Raven. The cast also includes Hayley Mills and Allison Pill.
The film is produced by M. Night Shyamalan alongside Ashwin Rajan and Marc Bienstock.
The cinematography is handled by Sayombhu Mukdeeprom, who also served as the cinematographer for the film Call Me by Your Name, while the production designer is Debbie de Villa.
Distributed in our country by TME Films, "Trap" will be in theaters on August 9.
