IT WILL HOLD A MIRROR TO THE SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGICAL STRUCTURE
The film Paranoya follows the story of a journalist named Muntazam (Onur Buldu), who was imprisoned for a poem he wrote while a university student and whose paranoia began after he was unable to attend his father's funeral while in prison.
While the film handles the strange and funny situations that Muntazam gets into after his paranoia recurs years later in an entertaining way, it also holds a mirror to Turkey's recent past, its present, and the psychological structure of society.
Cengiz Özkarabekir sits in the director's chair for the film, which blends comedy and drama.
The ambitious film, which will be shot in Istanbul and Lüleburgaz, is planned to be released in the fall.
