The Nazım Hikmet Cultural Center in Kadıköy hosted an important event this evening. Journalist and author Mustafa Kemal Erdemol and Murat Akad, a member of the Peace Committee of the People's Representatives Assembly of Turkey, met with participants at the talk titled "From Shadow to Daylight: How Will Imperialism Be Defeated in the Middle East?"
While evaluating current conflicts in the Middle East through his latest book, "Iran-Israel War," Erdemol provided striking examples regarding the policies of imperialism in the region. "Imperialism constantly creates new areas of conflict to exploit the region's wealth. Our greatest weapon against this is solidarity and a consciousness of independence," he said.
In his speech, Murat Akad emphasized that the struggle against imperialism is not only a political issue but also a social one: "If the peoples of the Middle East do not meet in a common struggle for peace, these wars will not come to an end. However, imperialism can be pushed back when acting together," he said.
