'Furious' series renewed for a second season

The crime series “Furious”, which meets audiences on Disney+, has been renewed for a second season. The production, created by Elizabeth Meriwether, has drawn attention with its positive reviews and increasing viewership interest ahead of its season finale.

Starring Emmy Rossum, the series follows FBI agent Alice Black as she pursues a mysterious and calculating female serial killer. As the paths of Alice Black and the character played by Lola Petticrew increasingly intersect, the story questions the boundaries between right and wrong through the lens of a quest for justice.

It was reported that the production earned a Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes with a score of 98 percent. Additionally, it was noted that the first-day viewership data for the series' 7th episode showed a 40 percent increase compared to the season's premiere.

Elizabeth Meriwether serves as the creator, writer, and producer of the series. In addition to Rossum and Petticrew, the cast includes Quincy Tyler Bernstine and Scoot McNairy. Jake Lacy, Rob Delaney, Hope Davis, Rob Yang, and Steve Way appear as guest stars in the series.

It has been announced that the season finale of “Furious”, produced by 20th Television and Searchlight Television, will be released on Disney+. The release schedule for the second season of the series, which also lists Rossum among its producers, has not yet been shared.
