ATV’s new series ‘Mercan Köşk’ will meet the audience with its first episode on Saturday evening, September 5. In the series, a joint production by FARO and Sinehane, Hafsanur Sancaktutan brings to life the character of Cemre, whose life changes as she embarks on a journey to find her missing husband while carrying the traces of her past.

Sancaktutan stated that she was affected by the side of Cemre that appears strong on the outside but carries a deep vulnerability. The actress described the character as “as fragile as she is strong, and as emotional as she is tough.”

Stating that Cemre does not give up on holding onto life despite everything she has been through, Sancaktutan said, “My favorite thing about her is that despite everything she has experienced, she never gives up on holding onto life and fighting for her loved ones. Beneath Cemre’s strong appearance actually lies her ability to bloom from the place where she was broken. I think that is what truly makes her strong.”

The actress expressed that the element that impressed her most in the script was the connection the story builds between the past and the present. Sancaktutan said that what Cemre has experienced has shaped her current personality and left deep marks on the character’s inner world.

The story of the series, directed by Yahya Samancı, belongs to Ahunur Serdaroğlu. The screenplay was written by Ahunur Serdaroğlu, Atilla Özel, Nalan Merter Savaş, and Nuriye Bilici.

In addition to Hafsanur Sancaktutan, the cast of ‘Mercan Köşk’ includes Kubilay Aka, Bertan Asllani, Mehmet Özgür, Zeyno Eracar, Ulviye Karaca, Tülin Özen, Halil Babür, Haki Biçici, Can Bartu Aslan, Zehra Kelleci, Merve Şeyma Zengin, Selin Köseoğlu, and Berna Cindil. The music for the series is composed by Toygar Işıklı.
