IMM Culture announces: Istanbul Dance Days begins
Organized for the first time this year by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Department of Culture (IMM Culture) in collaboration with projeSahne, the International Istanbul Dance Days will bring performances by world-class dancers to Istanbul residents at various venues across the city between April 22 and 30, 2024.

Organized by IMM Culture in collaboration with projeSahne as part of the April 29 World Dance Day, the International Istanbul Dance Days will host prominent representatives of various dance genres in Istanbul for a week, ranging from flamenco to street dance, and ballet to sirtaki.
The festival's events will take place at Müze Gazhane, Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall, Artİstanbul Feshane, Baruthane, Metrohan, Beyoğlu Cinema, and Çubuklu Silolar.
The festival, which will be held for the first time this year between April 22 and 30, 2024, will open with a performance by the young queen of flamenco, Patricia Guerrero.
The International Istanbul Dance Days will also feature performances by Italy's international contemporary dance company Komoco, pantomime artist İlker Kılıçer, the Istanbul-based dance studio Swing Planet, the Shaman Dance Theater, and dance artist and choreographer Bedirhan Dehmen.
STREET DANCES ARE ALSO INCLUDED
The festival's scope, which will also feature the "Köroğlu" ballet brought to art lovers with the support of IMM Culture and the CRR Concert Hall, will expand further with Urban Dances, bringing together all kinds of street dances such as hip hop, break dance, and popping. Vehbi Can Yeşil from Germany, Kalli Tarasidou from Greece, and Junior Bosila Banya from France, who have made a name for themselves on international stages in this field, will perform.
The International Istanbul Dance Days, which will also host workshops, talks, and concerts focusing on different dance genres, will screen special dance-focused productions such as "Black Swan" (2010), "Jimmy's Hall" (2014), and "La La Land" (2016) at the Beyoğlu Cinema.
THERE WILL BE TALKS
Within the scope of the International Istanbul Dance Days, instructors from the Turkish Folk Dances Department of the Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music State Conservatory (İTÜTMDK) will also hold talks, workshops, and performances.
The IMM Orchestras Directorate will also present a concert of traditional dance music featuring masters who represent the tradition.
