Italy's cultural heritage site Palazzo Gradenigo transferred to the Güneştekin Foundation
The Güneştekin Foundation has acquired Palazzo Gradenigo, a Renaissance structure that is one of Italy's cultural heritage sites. The foundation has begun restoration work on the building, which will host Ahmet Güneştekin's Art Refinery exhibition in the autumn of 2024.

The title deed for Palazzo Gradenigo, a historic building and one of the Renaissance structures in Venice, one of the world's most important cultural cities, has been handed over to the Güneştekin Foundation by the Italian government.
The handover ceremony, which coincided with the centuries-old Venice Carnival, marks the transfer of this iconic structure, which is also considered one of Italy's most significant cultural heritage sites.
Because the building is public property, the institution acquiring it was expected to meet specific cultural criteria.
Having met the required criteria, the Güneştekin Foundation announced that it began preliminary work for the restoration of the building on February 8, following the completion of the title deed procedures.
'I BELIEVE IT WILL INSPIRE OTHERS'
Following the handover ceremony, which was also attended by several academics, the 'Art Refinery' project, which Güneştekin launched in 2020, is expected to meet the international art world in Venice under the name 'Art Refinery Venice' in the autumn of 2024.
Following the development, artist Ahmet Güneştekin stated, "In my personal history, I have seen that such significant cultural events can be realized without the support of the state or any institution, and I believe this will inspire others."
