Kadir İnanır’s secret wills... It has been revealed when they will be disclosed

Following the passing of Kadir İnanır, one of the master names of Turkish cinema, the inheritance and will process has come to the fore. The contents of the three wills prepared by İnanır, who passed away on June 27 at the age of 77 in the hospital where he was being treated for pneumonia, at different dates are expected to be disclosed in September.

According to information reported by Hürriyet, İnanır prepared his first will in 2015. The artist then drew up two separate wills in the presence of a notary in 2022. It is not yet known to whom or to which institutions his assets have been bequeathed in these wills.

It is stated that İnanır left behind a significant amount of money and numerous real estate properties. The assets covered by the inheritance include not only bank accounts and real estate but also private collections the artist built up over the years.

It is known that the master actor possessed a collection of gold-plated lighters from brands such as S.T. Dupont, Cartier, Dunhill, and Zippo, in addition to approximately 25 Rolex watches. His specially engraved rings are also among his notable belongings.

Known for his interest in frogs, the approximately 3 thousand frog figurines that İnanır collected from different countries around the world are also considered among the important pieces of his collection.

Originally from the Fatsa district of Ordu, Kadir İnanır came from a family of eight siblings. It is stated that only his older brother, Reşit İnanır, is still alive among his siblings, and that the artist has numerous nieces and nephews.

Because İnanır did not have a formal marriage with Jülide Kural, with whom he had been together for 24 years, the content of the wills carries additional importance regarding the legal course of the inheritance. Kural has not made any public statement following İnanır’s passing.
