Master artist Selçuk Alagöz has passed away

Selçuk Alagöz, one of the legendary artists of Turkish pop music living in the Bodrum district of Muğla, has passed away at the hospital where he was receiving treatment.

Alagöz, who had been in intensive care for some time due to high blood pressure and heart arrhythmia, had his death announced by his daughter on social media.

Banu Alagöz shared the following in her post: "We lost my father today at 11:50. May we all have patience."

Alagöz's death has caused deep sorrow in the art world. Upon hearing the sad news, Atilla Atasoy shared his feelings with these words:

"Oh our dear friend, our Selçuk Alagöz who had a talent for everything... He left us with his final act. May the stars be his companion, may he rest in peace."

The Film-San Foundation also included the following in its published message: "We wish God's mercy upon singer and musician Selçuk Alagöz, and offer our condolences to his family and loved ones."

The artist was etched into memory with unforgettable works he performed with his sister Rana Alagöz, such as "Malabadi Köprüsü", "Aşkın Gözü Kör mü?", "Ateş Bacayı Sarmış" and "Deliyim Seviyorum".
