Composer and pianist Büşra Kayıkçı’s new album “Places” is both a continuation and a more mature extension of her debut album “Eskizler,” released in 2019.
Kayıkçı stated, "Just as in 'Eskizler,' I blended music and architecture in my new album. However, my new album has another feature. It is to show that architecture and music do not have to be created only through specific interdisciplinary methods, and that different paths or sounds are also possible."
'EXPRESSES A SENSE OF DESIRE AND LONGING'
Büşra Kayıkçı expressed her feelings and the process regarding 'Fernweh,' the lead single from her new album Places, with the following words:
"'Fernweh,' a German word, expresses an irresistible desire and a sense of longing for distant places. This track and almost the entirety of my new album were written during the pandemic period. Fernweh expresses my intense and deep longing for the time I spent by the seaside."
