The book Turkish Agriculture - Imperialist Attack and Solutions contains a selection of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kaymakçı's writings from 2012 to 2024. It can be observed that two important features are highlighted in these writings.
The first is the emphasis on the problems of small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises based on family labor as the subjects among the actors of agricultural production, and the solutions directed toward them. This approach stems from the fact that the vast majority of our agricultural enterprises consist of these.
The second is directed toward findings and solutions regarding the problem of the vast majority being unable to access qualified and sufficient food.
The book consists of seven chapters in total.
The first chapter contains "Agricultural Writings" directly related to agricultural production.
The second chapter is about animal production, which is a branch of agricultural production. Its title is "Analyses on the Political Economy of Livestock." The fourth chapter is "Agriculture and the Kurdish Question." This chapter, which is fundamentally about the Kurdish question as an Eastern problem, was written with Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's approach: "The people of Turkey who founded the Republic of Turkey are called Turks in terms of citizenship, regardless of religion or race."
The fifth chapter is examined under the title "Non-Agricultural Political-Economic Analyses."
The sixth chapter is an essay written under the title "Planning the Future with Science."
The seventh chapter relates to "Atatürk and Agriculture." Atatürk's practices and thoughts regarding agriculture continue to possess qualities that shed light on the present day. For this reason, it is considered beneficial for our readers to know about this subject.
