Yiğit Can Orhan, one of the young representatives of Alevi-Bektashi culture, has met his listeners with his new single, "Ervah-ı Ezelde Evvelk-i Safta." This work, penned by the 17th-century poet Âşık Dertli, has been brought to life once again through Yiğit Can Orhan's interpretation, accompanied by a traditional musical foundation. As a representative of the Arguvan minstrel and dede tradition, Yiğit Can Orhan aims to carry this ancient musical culture to new generations through his folk songs.
The artist also embraces the minstrel and dede legacy of his great-grandfather, Aşık Hasan Hüseyin Orhan, while blending the deep-rooted musical vein of Arguvan with a contemporary interpretation.
Regarding the piece "Ervah-ı Ezelde Evvelk-i Safta," Yiğit Can Orhan says, "I wanted to bring the wisdom of the past together with the melodies of today and offer a different experience to folk music listeners."
The artistic direction of the work was undertaken by Hüseyin Can Pala. Academician Abdurrahman Tarikci played the bass guitar, and Burak Çakır provided the rhythm. Recording and mastering were handled by Murat Arıca. The music video for the song was directed by Sercan Meriç.
