New Super Mario animated film to be released in 2026

It has been reported that the new animated film featuring the popular video game character Super Mario will be released in 2026.

Nintendo Representative Director Shigeru Miyamoto stated, "We are thinking about expanding Mario's world even further."

According to the statement from the Japanese console and game manufacturer Nintendo, the new Super Mario animated film, which will be produced in collaboration with the US-based animation studio Illumination, will hit theaters in April 2026.

The game, which Nintendo released under the name "Mario Bros" in 1983 and "Super Mario Bros" in 1985, first met with gaming enthusiasts in Japan and North America, and later in Europe and Turkey.
