Nilüfer Municipality's Author of the Year announced: Rıfat Ilgaz

The Author of the Year event, which began in 2013 with the selection of Sabahattin Ali, will continue this year with Rıfat Ilgaz. Various events will be organized throughout the year as part of the Author of the Year program. The first event, titled 'Children's Journey of Dreams and Thought,' will be held on February 18. The events will continue until December 14.

Speaking about Nilüfer Municipality's selection of Rıfat Ilgaz as the Author of the Year, Anıl Ilgaz said, "Such events remind young people of Turkey's values. My grandfather had a saying: 'If my hand touches someone and they are cold, let our final warmth not go to waste.' We are obligated to carry this final warmth he provided forward together. If everyone takes responsibility, we will reach a better place in a cultural society more quickly."
