Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody to shoot a film in Istanbul
Adrien Brody, who won the 'Best Actor' Oscar for the 2002 film 'The Pianist', is coming to Turkey. The 51-year-old Hollywood star will play the lead role in the US-Turkish co-production 'My Daughter's Friend'.

In the film My Daughter's Friend, which will be directed by Ojan Missaghi, world-famous American actor Adrien Brody will be joined by Australian actress Nicky Whelan.
The cast of the psychological thriller also includes Laneya Grace, Shima Ryan, and Turkish actress Duygu Mercan.
The film, which is scheduled for release in 2025, tells the story of Lola, a young and innocent model who risks everything to realize her dreams of fame and fortune in the world.
FILM SET IN ISTANBUL'S HISTORICAL LOCATIONS
The filming of My Daughter's Friend will take place in Istanbul in October, with sets to be established in historical locations such as the Galata Tower, the Basilica Cistern, Topkapı Palace, and the Grand Bazaar.
WHO IS ADRIEN BRODY?
Adrien Nicholas Brody (born April 14, 1973) is an American actor and producer.
After starring in director Roman Polanski's film The Pianist (2002), he won the Academy Award for Best Actor at the age of twenty-nine, making him the youngest actor to win in that category. Brody is the second American male actor to receive the César Award for Best Actor (after Christopher Lambert).
Other successful films in which Brody has starred include The Thin Red Line (1998), The Village (2004), King Kong (2005), and Predators (2010).
He is a frequent collaborator of Wes Anderson, having appeared in four of Anderson's films: The Darjeeling Limited (2007), Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009), The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014), and The French Dispatch (2020).
In 2017, he appeared in the fourth series of the BBC historical drama Peaky Blinders.
