İrfan Alış, the founding member and lead singer of the legendary music group Peyk, has passed away at the age of 53. The tragic news was shared on the Peyk group's social media account with the note, "We lost our İrfan this morning."

According to information we received from one of the band members, Özgür Ulusoy, Alış was taken to Dokuz Eylül University Hospital yesterday after suffering a blood clot in his brain. Following examinations, it was learned that there was a serious blockage in the vessels leading to Alış's brain, but that it had not shown any prior symptoms.

The 53-year-old legendary musician passed away at 06:27 this morning despite all interventions.

Özgür Ulusoy stated that, barring any significant changes, Alış's funeral will be held on Thursday at Piyadepaşa Cemetery. Ulusoy said, "Everything happened so suddenly. We have been by his side since we received the news yesterday. I am very sad."
