Russian pianist Evgeny Grinko has interpreted Aşık Veysel's 'Uzun İnce Bir Yoldayım'. The piece, rearranged by Grinko, was recorded as a piano version.
The Russian pianist's interpretation of 'Uzun İnce Bir Yoldayım' will be presented to listeners on May 17.
"IT DESCRIBES LIFE IN A SIMPLE WAY"
Grinko stated that the lyrics of the song affected him very deeply and that he finds himself close to Aşık Veysel's musical approach.
Grinko said the following about the piece:
"Even though I recorded the song instrumentally, the lyrics describe life in a very simple yet impressive language. Furthermore, the thousands of kilometers I have traveled during the concerts I gave in Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Iran made me feel even closer to this song. In fact, with this song, I wanted to thank my Turkish listeners who have attended my concerts to date."
The work will be the first release from the artist's 3-song EP titled "Outtakes 2". The album will also include different versions of the songs 'Once Upon A Time' and 'Velvet Elephant'.
The entire "Outtakes 2" album by the artist will meet music lovers on June 21.
