Premiere of the film 'Başkan' held
The comedy film 'Başkan', starring Diren Polatoğulları, Necip Memili, Büşra Pekin, Nursel Köse, and Şerif Sezer, met with audiences at its gala screening.

Speaking before the screening held at a shopping mall in Istanbul, actor Necip Memili stated, "It is a great honor and source of pride for us that two ladies are at the helm of this. It is very important that a woman's name and her steps are always at the forefront."
'WE HAD A BEAUTIFUL JOURNEY'
Actress Büşra Pekin said, "It has been a very special production where the tempo never stops for a second, where we will laugh and have fun until the end, discover new talents, and watch actors we love very much in completely different performances.
I am very happy to be a part of it and that my dear director and producers invited me to this film. We had a beautiful journey, and I think there will be many more journeys to come," she declared.
'THE BUREAUCRACY WAS ON OUR SIDE'
Diren Polatoğulları, who plays the mayor 'Fikri', said it was an exciting film for him, adding, "The local people were kind enough to accept us all and helped us with everything. They both acted in it and assisted us in every way. The bureaucracy was also on our side. We shot a very beautiful film in a very comfortable, peaceful, and safe environment. There will be a sequel," he said.
The film will be released in theaters on January 5, 2024.
PLOT OF THE FILM BAŞKAN
Başkan tells the story of the experiences of townspeople who are dissatisfied with their mayors and want to change them in the local elections.
