Presidential Chief Advisor targets Ecem Erkek

At the Golden Butterfly awards ceremony organized by the Hürriyet newspaper, the speech given by Ecem Erkek, who won the award for 'Best Comedy Series Actress,' was targeted throughout the day by newspapers known for their proximity to the government and on social media accounts.

Following the targeting on social media, Presidential Chief Advisor Oktay Saral also issued a statement, alleging that actress Ecem Erkek made the speech intentionally "to play with the nation's nerves."

"SHAME ON YOU, YOUR ART, AND YOUR HUMANITY"

Saral's post, which targeted the actress, included the following statements:

"This is not a casual, run-of-the-mill speech.

This speech was prepared and delivered with the intention of touching the nation's nerves and reinforcing division.

This is a deliberate speech that ignores the killing of more than 3,000 children, and thousands of women, elderly, and young people since October 7; it is a speech that prioritizes her dog over them.

Every living creature is valuable and important to us, but unfortunately, for those who lack compassion in their hearts, love for animals is nothing more than a show.

Shame! On you, your art, and your humanity..."
