The duration of the exhibition “Semiha Berksoy: Aria of All Colors,” which meets audiences at İstanbul Modern, has been extended. The exhibition, sponsored by Flormar, will be open for visitors until November 22, 2026, due to high demand.

Announced as the most comprehensive Semiha Berksoy exhibition ever held in Turkey, “Aria of All Colors” brings together the artist’s multifaceted production, spanning from performing arts to visual arts, and from cinema to literature.

The exhibition, prepared by İstanbul Modern Chief Curator Öykü Özsoy Sağnak, curator Deniz Pehlivaner, and assistant curator Yazın Öztürk, features over 200 works. The selection presents the unique relationships Berksoy established between opera, theater, painting, and literature to the audience through a thematic structure.

The artist’s early drawings, opera-themed paintings, self-portraits, portraits, and sheet paintings stand out in the exhibition. The connections Berksoy established with the operas in which she played the lead role, the theater plays she performed in, her published story, and Turkey’s first sound film, “İstanbul Sokaklarında” (On the Streets of Istanbul), are also made visible in the exhibition.
