Special screening of 'Istanbul Trilogy: Meze-Music-Muhabbet' held
Director Ferzan Özpetek's new project, 'Istanbul Trilogy: Meze-Music-Muhabbet,' which consists of three short films depicting his love for Istanbul and Turkish gastronomy, met with audiences for the first time at a special screening held at the Casa Del Cinema in Rome on October 4.

On Netflix Italy, the film, which was released on the same day, was attended by guests from Italy's arts and culture community, as well as famous names from Turkey such as Özge Özpirinçci, Demet Evgar, Mehmet Günsür, Yıldırım Türker, and Ali Gürsoy. A dinner was held on the night following the film screening.
World-renowned director Ferzan Özpetek, who lives in Italy but has always maintained a strong bond with Turkey and says, "My heart beats for two cities: Rome and Istanbul," created the new project titled 'Istanbul Trilogy: Meze-Music-Muhabbet,' which consists of three short films.

"I always witnessed beautiful people laughing, crying, rejoicing, feeling sad, and sharing life around the rakı tables set by my mother and father at home, and in the conversations that continued around that table. For this reason, I wanted to tell the world about this rich and deep-rooted dining culture," said Özpetek, who also wrote the screenplay for the trilogy, bringing the unique beauty of Istanbul and the richness of flavors at the table to the audience.
The first film of the Istanbul Trilogy, 'Meze,' stars Ahsen Eroğlu, Serra Yılmaz, Ayta Sözeri, and Aslı İnandık. While Burak Yamantürk and Yiğit Kirazcı star in 'Music,' Kubilay Aka takes the lead role in 'Muhabbet.'
