Tamer Karadağlı to portray Aşık Veysel
Tamer Karadağlı, who was appointed as the General Manager of State Theatres by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will portray the folk poet Aşık Veysel at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's 'Friends Remember Me' event.

Folk poet Aşık Veysel Şatıroğlu will be commemorated with a theatrical performance at the headquarters of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris, the capital of France.
According to a written statement from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the "Friends Remember Me" event, which was previously held at the Palace as part of the "2023 UNESCO World Aşık Veysel Year," will take place in Paris on December 4.
The general artistic director of the performance, which will feature artists from the general directorates of Fine Arts and State Theatres, will be Ömer Faruk Belviranlı. Aşık Veysel will be portrayed on stage by State Theatres General Manager Tamer Karadağlı.
The performance, which will be conducted by Enver Merallı and feature soloists Elif Buse Doğan, İsmail Altunsaray, Mahriban Akkuş, and Pelin Karakuş, will include the following works:
"Uzun İnce Bir Yoldayım (modern dance), Atatürk'e Ağıt, Havalanma Telli Turnam, Ben Gidersem Sazım Sen Kal Dünyada, Güzelliğin On Par'etmez, Küçük Dünyam, Kahpe Felek Sana Nettim Neyledim, Bin Cefalar Etsen Almam Üstüme, Çiğdem Der Ki Ben Elayım (modern dance), and Benim Sadık Yarim Kara Topraktır (modern dance)."
