The highly anticipated series is back! Release date for Gibi announced

Gibi Season 5 release date has been announced. The Exxen comedy, starring Feyyaz Yiğit, Kıvanç Kılınç, and Ahmet Kürşat Öçalan, is making a comeback.

NEW SEASON WAS EAGERLY AWAITED

Having received its 5th season renewal last September, Gibi is preparing to return to screens after approximately 9 months since the season 4 finale.

Starting its journey in 2021 on Acun Ilıcalı's digital streaming platform Exxen, Gibi quickly built a large audience. The new season of the production, which has become a significant player in Turkish social media meme culture, had been long awaited.

WHEN WILL SEASON 5 BE RELEASED?

Gibi, one of the leading examples of the local absurd situational comedy genre, also manages to stand out with its 9.0/10 rating on the film and TV database platform IMDb. In a post shared on the show's official X (formerly Twitter) account, it was announced that the episodes of Gibi season 5 will begin airing on March 8, 2024.

A total of 42 episodes have been released to date in the production, written by Aziz Kedi (Cinayet Süsü, Ölümlü Dünya) and Feyyaz Yiğit (Cinayet Süsü, Ölümlü Dünya). Barış Yöş (Kiralık Aşk, Vuslat, Adını Feriha Koydum) sat in the director's chair for the previous season of the series.

WHO WILL BE IN THE CAST?

The first trailer for the new season of the series was shared last week, accompanied by the line, "The departure of the one who leaves and the stance of the one who stays do not align, my brother, mine is like that too."

In the new season of the production, Feyyaz Yiğit will continue to play Yılmaz, Kıvanç Kılınç will play İlkkan, and Ahmet Kürşat Öçalan will play Ersoy. Which other actors will be featured in the new season is currently unknown.
